Common questions
What's free, and what does Pro add?+
Lesson 0, units 1 and 2, Koko's placement check, review and flashcards are free. Dúisigh Pro (€15 a month, or €100 a year with a 3-day free trial) unlocks units 3 to 25, the AI conversations and speak along.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, and choose Dúisigh. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Dúisigh. Cancel at least a day before it renews. If you cancel during the free trial you won't be charged.
I bought Pro but the app doesn't show it.+
Open Me in the app and tap Restore purchases, making sure you're signed in with the Google account (Android) or Apple ID (iPhone) you paid with. It can take a minute after buying.
How do I get a refund?+
Google and Apple handle refunds. On Android, see support.google.com/googleplay and ask for a refund on the Dúisigh purchase. On iPhone, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the Dúisigh purchase.
The app can't hear me.+
Check that Dúisigh is allowed to use the microphone (on Android, Settings › Apps › Dúisigh › Permissions; on iPhone, Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone), and that you're online: speech recognition needs a connection. A quiet room helps.
Why is there a limit on conversations?+
Each AI conversation costs us money to run, so Pro includes up to three a day. Lessons, review and flashcards have no limits.
Which Irish does Dúisigh teach?+
Standard Irish (An Caighdeán Oifigiúil), with notes on how Munster, Connacht and Ulster Irish differ. All course content is reviewed by an Irish speaker.
Will my progress move to a new phone?+
Yes, if you sign in in Me: with Google on Android, or with Apple on iPhone. Your progress is then saved and comes back when you sign in on the new phone.
